1-800-FLOWERS.COM to add jewelry to online store

In an effort to expand its range of gifts, 1-800-FLOWERS.COM is developing a merchant partner program to broaden its assortment.

Finlay Enterprises, Inc. has become the exclusive supplier of fine jewelry products within the program. Finlay is also the first partner in the program.

All fine jewelry items will be sold under the 1-800-FLOWERS.COM brand name. Finlay will be responsible for order fulfillment and inventory management.

Jim McCann, 1-800-FLOWERS.COM CEO said, ``Our Merchant Partner Program allows us to cost efficiently expand our product offering for our customers by leveraging the merchandising, inventory and fulfillment capabilities of our partners,'' he said. ``Our partners, in return, get to leverage 1-800-FLOWERS.COM's leading brand name along with access to our substantial, and growing, web site traffic and our 8.5 million plus customers.''

1-800-FLOWERS.COM's fine jewelry offering is expected to ``go live'' on the Company's web site in October 2000.
