Promotions.com - flypaper for online retailers? 

When it comes to sticky sites, Promotions.com seems to be establishing itself as the flypaper eRetailers need to attract customers.

The company's award winning promotion portal, Webstakes.com, was recently ranked number one in stickiness among the top 10 retail Web sites by Media Metrix.

Webstakes.com also ranked 4th according to Internet reach in the new retail category, created for Web sites that facilitate e-commerce, ahead of Barnes & Noble.com, AmericanGreetings.com and CDNOW. Beginning in June, Media Metrix eliminated the Shopping category.

Visitors spent an average of 20.8 minutes on Webstakes.com in June, ranking ahead of top brands including Amazon.com, MyPoints and American Greetings.com.
