KBkids.com opens new fulfillment center and drops Keystone services

KBkids.com has announced plans to open a 300,000 square foot fulfillment center in Danville, Kentucky. This new facility, which is planned to be fully operational in August 2000, will support the company's fulfillment requirements for the 2000 holiday season. Previously, K*B Toys used the Danville site as one of its retail store distribution centers.

KBkids.com's move to an owned-and-operated fulfillment center reflects the company's goal of fast and reliable order processing. Previously KBkids.com had outsourced its fulfillment requirements to Keystone Internet Services, a division of Hanover Direct, Inc..

The two companies have begun the 60-day wind-down period pertaining to services provided by Keystone to KBkids.com.

Keystone provides third party fulfillment, logistics and e-care to online retailers.
