Fulfillment Centers during the fourth quarter of this year. The company
has initially targeted the top 18 Internet Sales Markets, and plans to
launch its next E-commerce Fulfillment Centers in the Chicago and San
Francisco markets respectively.
In the coming months, delivery.com expects to partner with a number
of Internet retailers, and begin delivering an array of e-commerce
products such as books, videos, pet supplies, health/beauty, home
improvement, toys, electronics, and clothing to Internet shoppers.
"Internet customers are extremely demanding, with service
expectations rising every day," says Michael Hay, President and CEO
of delivery.com. "In order to remain competitive, Internet
retailers need to give their customers control over exactly when their
e-commerce purchases are delivered. The convenience of the Internet
should extend all the way through the delivery pipeline-right down to
the last mile. The days of waiting for the UPS guy are about to come to
an end."
delivery.com owns and operates its direct to consumer delivery fleet,
which consists of medium size cargo vans and allows for convenient
residential and business delivery.
