| Company to Launch First Real-Time Product Price Ticker
For Retailers and Manufacturers
Strong Numbers today
announced the creation of its Marketview Beta Partner Program to assist
in the development of the company’s new pricing product. Developed
specifically for leading retailers and manufacturers, Strong Numbers
Marketview assists companies with optimizing price, predicting the
impact of key product decisions and managing inventory.
Strong Numbers Marketview supplies retailers and manufacturers with
custom feeds of demand-based pricing information, the best measure of
what consumers are currently willing to pay for specific products. This
pricing information is based on actual transactions and helps pricing
professionals to optimize prices and avoid excess inventory.
Manufacturers will have a valuable resource for setting the MSRP or MAP
and monitoring product lifecycles. Retailers will use this information
to help determine initial prices and decide when to discount or
liquidate items in order to minimize margin erosion.
The pricing information is currently available in four vertical
categories: consumer electronics, computers, toys and sporting goods,
and will extend to additional categories in the coming months. The
Strong Numbers Marketview pricing database covers more than one million
popular products and contains comprehensive information dating back to
1999, giving companies a valuable history of product and pricing trends
for every season. The pricing information is delivered to customers via
a standard Web interface.
As part of the Beta Partner Program, users will access the actual and
up-to-date pricing information that applies to their specific line of
business and will be given the opportunity to influence and shape the
development, design and feature set of Strong Numbers Marketview. For
information about becoming a part of the Beta Partner Program or to view
a demo of the product, contact Mike Papell at 671-314-6688, ext. 24 or
