Cardservice International and ValueWeb Team Up to Offer Hosting and Payment Services

The two new features are merchant hosting and corporate hosting.

Rollout of the new services builds on the existing relationship between ValueWeb and Cardservice International, under which Cardservice has provided secure payment processing services for ValueWeb clients. When used as a package, these combined services allow Web merchants to access ValueWeb as a turnkey resource, where small-business owners can go to get started online, set up a merchant account and manage their businesses more effectively.

"Research shows these issues to be of prime importance to merchants,'' said Tomas Mikaelsson, ValueWeb president and chief operating officer. "In a recent survey of our customer base, more than 60% indicated that their Web site business accounts for a significant portion of their annual sales. Obviously, the merchant bankcard product from Cardservice International is working well for them. It was important for us to continue providing this reliable e-commerce component to them, which is why we made it a priority to extend our agreement with Cardservice International.''
