Overton’s selects ecometry to power its multi-channel retail operation

Global Marketer Licenses 200 Users for Ecometry Retail Enterprise and Ecometry Optional Modules

Ecometry Corporation (NASDAQ: ECOM), a provider of integrated software solutions for multi-channel commerce, announced today that Overton’s, a worldwide marketer specializing in the water sports, marine and hunting industries, is implementing Ecometry Retail Enterprise along with several optional Ecometry sales and service modules to power the company’s catalog and internet sales operations. Overton’s purchased a 200-user license to enable the company to provide superior customer service, instant real-time access to customer data, and enhanced order taking and fulfillment capabilities.

Established in 1975, Overton’s began marketing through a single catalog in 1978. The company has since evolved into a global enterprise, selling water sports, marine and hunting products through four retail outlets, three catalogs: Overton’s, Herter’s and Dunn’s, and three corresponding Web sites: overtons.com, herters.com and dunns.com. Ecometry products will not only scale with the company’s rapid online growth, but will allow Overton’s to seamlessly integrate their online, catalog and retail sales channels.

“We are very impressed with the tight integration between Ecometry’s front-office sales and service applications and its robust back-end commerce engine,” said Joanna Majette, vice president of information services for Overton’s. “Implementation of Ecometry will allow us to significantly heighten the service we provide to our customers.”

In addition to Ecometry Retail Enterprise, Overton’s selected several customer service modules, including Email Executive, Wish List, and Predictive Response. To further extend its back-office capability, the company will utilize Ecometry’s Inventory Forecasting module and Financial Interface.

“Overton’s is a well established multi-channel retailer whose growth potential is substantial,” said John Marrah, president and COO of Ecometry Corporation. “We are pleased to be able to provide them with the system infrastructure that will allow the company to achieve its goals.”
