February 29th, 2000 --
The International eRetail Association announced
today the official launch of its monthly report on Internet retailing. Through a
series of features, eRetailNews provides information on all aspects of Internet
retailing, including marketing, fulfillment, sales, customer retention,
merchandising and e-retail technology. The report is published in both print and
electronic format for ease of access to hypertext-linked websites. eRetailNews
members download electronic versions from the website each month.

|
The organization’s website, www.eretailnews.com, features news highlights as
well as occasional features from the monthly reports. A vendor section provides
links to Internet retail technology and service vendors, with a growing database
of vendors to be published in coming weeks.

|
The eRetailNews Shopping Mall provides a source of links to many of the
Internet’s top eRetailers.

eRetailNews helps retailers and e-retailers sift through the mass of
information available, getting to the issues that count. "Having worked as
a consultant to retailers, as a retailer myself, and as a sales and marketing
executive for a retail technology company, I wanted to bring together my
experience in a way that benefits the e-retail community," said Nigel
Fenwick, Publisher and Editor of eRetailNews. "E-retailers now have a
source of information that’s geared toward their needs. Retail is a unique
industry, as anyone in retail can attest. eRetailNews is produced by people with
experience in the trenches."
|
|
Now in its third issue, eRetailNews already has subscribers from across the
retailing spectrum. Recent reports included coverage of affiliate marketing
programs and fulfillment service providers as well as reviews of Furniture.com
Cameraworld.com and The Sharper Image. The report deliberately excludes
advertising. "One of the great things about a report like eRetailNews is
not having to wade through pages of advertising," said Fenwick. "It
also ensures our coverage of the issues is totally unbiased. We can’t be
influenced by advertisers, so eRetailNews information can be trusted."
