eRetailNews respects your privacy above all else.

Our privacy policy is designed to reflect this in clear and simple terms.

• Our promise not to share your personal information

Unless otherwise stated on a specific eRetailnews website, we will NEVER share your Personal Information with our partners, nor will we sell or trade your personal information. (The only exception to this may be in the event of a transfer of ownership of the company, see below).

If you opt-in to our lists, we may send you communications on behalf of our partners, either directly, or though sub-contracted email/direct mail service providers. Whenever we ask for information from you, we aim to give you the choice of how we may use your information.

• Newsletter registration

To provide expedited registration for our newsletter, we do not provide privacy options. We assume that all email registrations for our newsletter are subject to our standard privacy guideline, which means that the information provided is for our "internal use" only. WE DO NOT SELL OR TRADE EMAIL ADDRESSES SUBMITTED THROUGH OUR WEBSITE.*

• Internal Use (to include sub-contractors)

"Internal use" is defined such that it includes use of your information by companies performing services directly on our behalf (sub-contractors), where use of personally identifiable information is limited to use with specific services sub-contracted by eRetailNews and/or the International eRetail Association (or BizBrick Corporation). For example: providing your email address to a third party email service provider who was sending out our email newsletter on our behalf would be considered a sub-contracted service. Such a service provider would not be permitted to use Personal Information for any other purpose. 

• Posted Comments

We do encourage visitors to post comments to us. Where we provide online forms for this purpose, we  allow privacy options to be selected on the form itself. Personal Information provided in this manner will not be published on the website unless the user's selection on the form specifies that it can be published. All comments submitted may be published by eRetailNews, at its discretion, without reference to the author.

• *Transfer of Company

In the event eRetailNews, Inc or the International eRetail Association being sold or transferred to new ownership, membership information and email lists may be transferred to the new owners to ensure your membership/service is continued. Without this contingency, we would not be able to provide you with ongoing service in the event of a transfer of ownership.

• Legal Disclosure

  The International eRetail Association or eRetailNews may disclose Personal Information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to: 

  1. conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on eRetailNews, the International eRetail Association (BizBrick Corp) or the site; 

  2. protect and defend the rights or property of eRetailNews, Inc., the site or the users of eRetailNews; 

  3. act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of eRetailNews, the site or the public.
